Our Story
How Metbet went from an idea to a platform used across Pakistan.
Metbet was founded by a team that was genuinely frustrated with the state of online gaming for Pakistani players. The platforms that existed were either inaccessible – requiring USD accounts, international bank cards, or VPNs just to access – or they treated Pakistan as an afterthought, offering poor odds, slow payouts, and customer support that didn't understand local payment methods.
The team behind Metbet had spent years watching this gap grow. Mobile internet was spreading across every corner of Pakistan. Easypaisa and JazzCash had put digital payments in the hands of tens of millions of people who'd never had a bank account. PUBG Mobile had created a generation of competitive gamers. PSL had built cricket fandom into something year-round and deeply engaged. The audience was enormous and underserved.
"We didn't want to build another generic betting site and add a PKR option as an afterthought. We wanted to build the platform we'd always wanted to use ourselves as Pakistani players."
— Metbet founding teamMetbet launched with cricket sports betting and a small card games section. Player feedback shaped every subsequent feature – the VIP Club structure came from players asking for loyalty rewards, the esports section launched because the PUBG and CS2 community was asking for it, and the Ludo Games mode was added because players wanted the classic game they'd grown up with but with real PKR on the line.
Today, Metbet covers sports betting, live cricket scores, esports, card games including Teen Patti and Rummy, Ludo tournaments, and a VIP Club that rewards consistent players with cashback and priority service. Every feature traces back to something Pakistani players actually asked for.
